Il arrive souvent de vouloir « enfiler » un ruban ou un cordon à travers une série d’oeillets. Il peut s’agir d’une façon d’attacher un côté ou de décorer un contour. Il est important de s’assurer que le ruban paraisse vraiment s’enfiler et non pas être simplement collé à la page.

Often, in creating a scrap page, we want to "thread" a ribbon or a string through eyelets. It can be a way to attach one side or decorate around a page. It is important that the ribbon really looks like it is threaded and not just glued to the page. Here is how to make it look as real as possible.

1- Amenez un repère sur la bordure où vous voulez avoir vos oeillets et votre ruban. 

1- Place a guideline along the line where you want your eyelets and ribbon.

2- Placez vos oeillets le long du guide (utilisez la fonction Affichage – Aligner sur les repères au besoin)

2-Align your eyelets to the guideline.

3- Ajouter votre ruban. Déplacer votre ruban SOUS les oeillets. 

3- Add your ribbon. Slide it UNDER the eyelets.

4- Ajuster la taille du ruban pour qu’il soit légèrement plus étroit que les oeillets.

4- Adjust the size of the ribbon so that it is slightly narrower than the inside of the eyelets.

5- Avec l’outil de sélection, tracez un rectangle pour « couper » votre oeillet pour qu’il semble passer dessous.

5- With the selection tool, trace a rectangle to "cut" the part of the eyelet that would be hidden by the ribbon.

6- Ajouter une ombre portée sur vos oeillets. Au besoin, utiliser la gomme à effacer pour atténuer l’ombre qui pourrait paraître sur le ruban là où ça ne semble pas approprié.

6- Add a drop shadow to the eyelets. If needed, erase the shadow that would appear ON the ribbon where it is not realistic.

7- Ajouter une ombre portée au ruban pour lui donner un certain relief. Avec l’outil de Sélection, tracer un rectangle sur la partie de ruban qui sera SOUS votre travail. Supprimer.

7- Add a drobp shadow to the ribbon to give it some dimension. With the Selection tool, trace a rectangle around the ribbon part that would be UNDERNEATH the page. Delete it.

8- Voilà votre ruban sur votre travail.

8- Now, your work should look realistic enough.

Le choix et la taille de l’ombre portée peut affecter le résultat final. Expérimentez pour voir ce qui semble bien convenir à votre projet.
